Press Release Summary: Xpert-Timer is useful for engineers, consultants, contractors, project managers or anyone else who must record time billed to different projects. Whether for internal cost allocation or work record for your customer, Xpert-Timer tracks the time automatically and displays it on a floating timebar on the desktop. Now an optional synchronization module is available to track the times offline and synchronize with the office database, once back in the office.
Press Release Body: Xpert-Timer is a database application, tracking time for each project and subproject a user is working on. You can choose between chargeable and non-chargeable projects in order to keep an overview of the occurring costs. The number of projects is not limited and they are drilled down to three levels. First level is the client, second level are the main projects, for example “Support” and the third level are subprojects, like “Telephone support” or “Email support”.
Compared to a lot of other time tracking software, Xpert-Timer displays the actual needed time for the project on a timebar, floating on the desktop. The time runs automatically, so there’s no need of entering the times afterwards. You can switch between projects by either clicking on the timebar or using hotkeys for the projects. This guarantees a quick switching between projects, which is essential for users in order to accept the program.
Multiple reports show e.g. the exact timestamps or the sum of working hours of a project. The report can also be used as a sign off sheet for customers, can be sent to an FTP Server, through email or be printed as a .pdf or paper printout. An export to Excel is also included in the software.
Users, not connected to the main database at all time, can track their times offline. As soon as they connect to the main database again, they can synchronize their times with the local database.
